If your cheeks look flatter than they used to, or your chin sits back in profile, start here. Juvederm Voluma XC is a firmer gel, placed deep. It’s FDA-approved for the cheeks and for chin profile.
For lips that are thin or a little uneven, Restylane Kysse is a softer gel for shape and fullness. It’s FDA-approved for the lips and the upper lines around the mouth, and it contains lidocaine, a numbing medicine.
If you’re thinking about more than one area, the RHA range covers several. One gel is approved to add lip fullness in adults 22 or older, one is approved for the cheeks, and RHA gels are approved for wrinkles and folds, such as the lines from nose to mouth.
When it’s the deeper lines that bother you most, Revanesse Versa is FDA-approved for facial wrinkles and folds of moderate to severe depth, and only those. Volume placed under the crease softens it from beneath. Versa isn’t approved for the lips or cheeks.
